MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico will form a commission to help Mexicans living in the United States send money to relatives back home, President Vicente Fox said Tuesday. The panel will work with more than 200 Mexican and American banks and brokerage houses to lower transaction costs involved in sending cash to Mexico. Fox said the group will meet every month to improve sending services and find ways that this money can have lasting effects not just on poor families but on their communities.'' Fox promised to speed the flow of such remittances during last year's campaign. Juan Hernandez, head of Mexico's office of migrant affairs, said the estimated 23 million Mexicans living in the United States sent home .6 billion in 2000 and that Mexican remissions should top .6 billion this year.

How does my Loyalty Plus Card work?
Simply present the MBC/Loyalty Plus Card to the participating business when making a purchase (cash or credit). The merchant then swipes the Loyalty Plus Card through the same machine that processes credit card transactions.
The cardholder will receive a printed receipt and their account is credited for the amount of the specified cash rebate. The cardholder can now spend that cash rebate at any participating business in the network by presenting their Loyalty Plus Card or access a PIN to use it as a prepaid phone card.

The rebate process begins when a Loyalty Plus Card distribution partner issues cards to their prospective members or customers, in this case MBC. The Loyalty Plus card earns cardholders an average cash rebate of 10% on every purchase at a wide variety of merchants. These include local restaurants, dry cleaners, book stores, florist, beauty salons, auto repair shops, music stores, theaters, to name a few. The cardholder simply presents the Loyalty Plus card along with their typical payment method (cash or credit) to the participating merchant when making a purchase. The merchant swipes the Loyalty Plus card through the same machine that processed credit card transactions.
